Germany Germany
The MXF4mac story started in 2008 with one of the largest public broadcasters in Germany. Site license installation for full MXF import and export workflow with MXF Import QT, GC Export FCP and D10 Export QT to seamlessly integrate with Omneon systems. This initial reference project has proofed the direct OP1a editing concept with Final Cut Pro on a shared storage system with a large number of workstations. The workflow has been adopted by broadcaster all over the world. For the first time a conversion-free native OP1a access in the entire Mac OS X system and editing with Final Cut Pro has been enabled. Germany Germany
Another revolutionary workflow due to a consequent IT based concept. This private major broadcaster together with one of the top system integrators in Germany redesigned an IT workflow from scratch for the Bavarian regional studio. Large installation for full MXF import and export workflows with P2 Flow, MXF Import QT and GC Export FCP to enable the most advanced Panasonic P2 integration with Step2e and Final Cut Pro. Native MXF import is used server based through a central P2 ingest workstation as well as locally as a fail over for all workstations and on laptop journalist stations. The export workflow is stunning as it enables journalists in the field to stream high resolution OP1a files directly from Final Cut Pro over the internet to the studio. The MXF file stability allows interruption of transfers without damaging the file. Incomplete files can be directly accessed while the transfer is still ongoing. The usage of standard IT components and MXF4mac software plug-ins bring enormous cost savings without worrying about stability or robustness. The largest private broadcaster has used a native MXF workflow in an Apple based Final Cut Server and Final Cut Studio environment for the production of the box fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Samuel Peter. For the first time in a live production native MXF data from EVS and Sony XDCAM was loaded into Final Cut Server and edited in Final Cut Pro without any conversion being applied. Automo - a digital service facility based in Hilversum provides automated motion graphic packaging for customers such as MTV, SBS and RTL in the Netherlands. Automo automates a significant part of daily motion graphics video production processes. Various kinds of data such as text, video, sound or images are inserted into templates through a user-friendly web interface or other custom defined automated processes. Automo also manages the video rendering and MXF wrapping of the final content.
