  • D10 Export FCP 1.0 available

    March 20, 2009

A new and dedicated D-10 export plug-in for Final Cut Pro has been released. It provides MXF OP1a D-10 wrapping via Final Cut Pro's export API. The interface design is based on our D-10 exporter for QuickTime but the dedicated Final Cut Pro plug-in is a complete rewrite of code. The new code provides enhanced performance and features In Final Cut Pro.

    D10 Export Bundle

Since the plug-in required a complete rewrite we provide and support it as a separate product in addition to our successful QuickTime exporter. To benefit from the best of both solutions we offer a permanent D10 Export Bundle. Save 60% with the bundle that includes both the D-10 export component for QuickTime and the D-10 export plug-in for Final Cut Pro. You can install both solutions on a single machine or each on separate workstations.

    Free Upgrades

Many of our customers purchased the QuickTime exporter to wrap D-10 MXF out of Final Cut Pro. The previous workflow to export first an intermediate MOV file to re-wrap this one to MXF is not suitable as it is more time consuming and requires some extra steps. Therefore all existing customers can receive a free upgrade to the D10 Export Bundle. We contact all customers of our exporter via e-mail. If you don't get the notification please get in touch with us or contact your reseller. The free upgrade is only available for customers who purchased the QuickTime exporter before the 20th of March 2009.

    New Product Names

In course of the new release we applied some naming changes to our solutions. The term MXF4QT has been dropped. MXF4QT Import has been renamed to MXF Import QT. MXF4QT D10 Export has been renamed to D10 Export QT and D10 Export FCP.

  • MXF Workflow in Live Sport Production

    October 16, 2008

For the first time in a live production native MXF data was loaded into Final Cut Server and edited in Final Cut Pro without any conversion being applied. This new workflow was made possible by using MXF4QT Import to access native and conversion-free MXF data from Sony XDCAM and EVS EXT2 in Apple's Xsan shared storage system. After editing in Final Cut Pro the timeline was exported via MXF4QT Export back to MXF. The EVS then read the MXF files from a playout folder in the Xsan system.
