Just In Single1499 EUR (excl. VAT)![]() Just In is a powerful and flexible video ingest solution to capture all kind of SD and HD video feeds from a broad range of compatible QuickTime devices. Our technology partner ToolsOnAir has developed this new ingest application from scratch to take advantage of Apple's Intel hardware and Mac OS X. The MXF4mac SDK enables Just In to select MXF for video capturing in addition to QuickTime MOV. It is now possible for the first time on the Mac to capture video directly to the MXF container. There is no QuickTime intermediate or cache file creation, the live video stream gets directly wrapped to MXF without pre-buffering to disk. ToolsOnAir and Hamburg Pro Audio established a long term cooperation to provide a tight integration from ingest to playout using both MOV and MXF in Mac OS X. Just In Single can be used on a local workstation to record a single incoming video feed from QuickTime compatible capture cards or via FireWire (please note that Just In Single is not compatible to Telestream's Pipeline devices). You can purchase Just In Single directly at us or through our partner network. Please note that we bundle Just In Single with one license of MXF Import QT. To purchase Just In Single separately please contact ToolsOnAir. Just In Net can be used on a local workstation or via the network for single and multichannel video capturing from QuickTime compatible capture cards, via FireWire or Telestream's Pipeline devices. Please contact ToolsOnAir for sales inquiries. Just In Pipeline is a dedicated capture solution for Telestream's Pipeline devices. Please contact ToolsOnAir for sales inquiries. Video Hardware SupportQuickTime: The QuickTime architecture allows third party manufactures to make video capture devices available in the entire Mac OS X operating system. Apple Final Cut Studio and other compatible applications interface seamlessly with installed video hardware for video capturing and monitoring. You can even have multiple video hardware devices installed in paralel - an unique feature in QuickTime. Just In has been successfully tested with a broad range of QuickTime compatible hardware for MXF capturing such as AJA and Matrox. QuickTime also includes build-in support for standard DV devices via FireWire. The DV stream will be converted to non-DV compression types on the fly including 720x480 to 720x486 padding (525i only) and lower to upper field dominance changing (625i only). DV/DIF wrapping to MXF is planned for an upcoming update. Manufacturer SDKs: In addition to the standard QuickTime support ToolsOnAir has included dedicated SDK support for Blackmagic Design and Telestream Pipeline* devices. There is currently support for capturing video from up to three Blackmagic Design video cards in one single Mac Pro workstation (please contact ToolsOnAir for multichannel capturing). The pipeline version can manage two pipeline devices with up to 8 channels in one Mac Pro which means that one single ingest machine can capture up to 8 D-10/IMX MXF streams in parallel. Like our export formats the captured MXF files are fast streaming enabled to allow edit-while-record. Format Support
We are also working on further format support. Please check our website frequently for the latest state of development. Thanks to our independent MXF core libraries and analyzer application we can continuously add more MXF variations from even more sources. Edit-while-record
Unmatched DurabilityThe file structure of OP1a MXF with true constant bit rates allows rock solid capturing and file access. Thanks to the true constant bit rate the MXF header and its index get never updated or touched during the entire recording. Even a system crash caused by a power failure won't damage the recorded MXF file and it will remain accessible and editable until the last frame that was captured. The current support in QuickTime allows access with MXF Import QT to up to 12 hours of MXF media with 48 kHz audio. Capturing more than 12 hours would be possible but the files can't get accessed within QuickTime (SInt32 limitation). Check out our compatibility list and workflow documentations to learn more about supported devices and workflow optimization. Also check the FAQ and news sections for additional information. |
